Been in storage since,suspected graphics issue so needs another motherboard will make a excellent laptop or donor.

Go to the nvidia folder you created by trying to install the drivers above (c:\nvidia) and choose this folder (and subfolders).

Now right-click ont the display adapter and click on update drivers and choose to browse computer for the drivers. Now go to device manager (right-click on start > device manager) and got to heading display adapters. You are going to have to install them manually. This will not install the drivers however it will create a folder with the extracted drivers in C:\nvidia.
Now install the the program you have downloaded.
To install the drivers you will have to download them from link above. Here are the latest drivers I have found. This test raises the computers core temperature as well as other components to try and warm them up if there are any cold joints on it, But may damage components due to high temperatures.There are only very old drivers available for the graphics card NVIDIA GeForce Go 7150M which are not easy to install on system.

Have you tried to shutdown the computer normally and try it again? Another reason would be that the wireless settings and everything are all controlled by a service, and maybe the service failed to start.
